INSTRUCTIONS TO COMPLETE RESIDENTIAL LISTING
AGREEMENT
Please refer to the following instructions to complete the listing agreement: At the top on line one of the agreement please write the names of all owners (Sellers) of the property being listed. Item number 1 of the form asks for the listing date and expiration date of the listing. If you are mailing the agreement please leave blank and we will add the listing date when we receive the form. If you are faxing the agreement the listing date should be that day's date unless you prefer a later activation date for the listing. The terminating date can be up to one year from the listing date. Item number 3 asks for the listing price. Item Number 4B aks for the amount of commission you will be offering to co-operating brokers. If left blank the commission will be 3% which is the typical amount offered on the MLS. This amount is not fixed by law and you can offer any commission amount you want. The last page of the listing agreement requires two signatures from each owner. The first signature is to acknowledge the required Georgia disclosure regarding representation. The second signature is accepting all the terms of the listing agreement. Read both the Georgia disclosure and listing agreement before signing the form.
